The Fields Institute offers a new visitorship: the Simons Distinguished Visitor
With the support of the Simons Foundation, the Fields Institute is introducing a new, prestigious appointment of Simons Distinguished Visitor, beginning in Fall of 2021.

October 28, 2020 - The Fields Institute is pleased to announce the new Simons Distinguished Visitorship. This new, prestigious six-month appointment will provide a world-renowned researcher with a unique opportunity to work at the Fields Institute with many Canadian and international colleagues on a research project of their choosing, which may or may not be associated with the Thematic Program running at that time. This position has been made possible with the support of the Simons Foundation.
The Simons Distinguished Visitor will have the opportunity to work in residence at Fields for a full semester, and to give an advanced research level course. In addition to living expenses, support will be provided for graduate students or postdoctoral fellows to join the Simons Distinguished Visitor in Toronto for the duration of their appointment.
Fields is now calling for applications for six-month appointments through the Fall of 2021 or Winter 2022. For more information, and to apply, visit the Simons Distinguished Visitor information page.
