The self-sovereign identity (SSI) space is moving very quickly. There are areas where real solutions are being actively deployed and many more where R&D is still required. Darrell will cover the range with a focus on where the critical areas are for SSI to be a true success. Technologies such as Sovrin, R3’s Corda, Ethereum, and other blockchain ecosystems will bediscussed.

Bio: Darrell has spent over two decades leading mission-critical technology teams. Over the past decade, he has focused on information interoperability - which led him into blockchain- based identity for the past 5 years. He is a past chair of an OASIS standard and is an active contributor to Hyperledger Aries and Sovrin Foundation volunteer. His company, Continuum Loop Inc. advises leading companies on their digital identity strategy, particularly related to digital identity and digital wallets. He is currently the CTO for CULedger - a credit-union services organization that is focused on creating a global network of exchange for financial cooperatives, starting with digital identity.
