Abstract:
The reality with public blockchains is that there’s always a trade-off between transparency and privacy. These trade-offs don’t always make public blockchains suitable for enterprise grade blockchain solutions. However, many of these enterprise use cases require the immutability components derived from public blockchains, while needed certain levels of permissioned smart contracts and data privacy. Utilizing a hybrid-blockchain architecture approach can allow enterprises to leverage advantages from different blockchain types, while guaranteeing privacy, security, cost and performance benefits to the builder.
