Abstract:
Heart failure occurs when your heart doesn’t pump out enough blood. It is a complex syndrome that results from any structural or functional impairment of ventricular filling or ejection of blood. A physiological model of heart failure is developed in the past few years to address the underlining mechanism of heart failure, especially heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). The heart failure model is translating deeper biological and clinical understanding of disease states of heart failure. The model as an innovative pilot can simulate hemodynamics with renal system and kidney function of a virtual patient as a normal subject or with heart failure.
