Topics in Pure Model Theory
Description
This is an advanced topics graduate course. The first lecture will be on September 14th, 2021. It will meet once a week for 1.5 hours on Tuesdays at 11:00am EDT, and will cover a variety of topics.
The first few weeks of the pure model theory course will be taught by Anand Pillay, and will be devoted to discussing the classification of first order theories. This will include developing some material a bit beyond a first course in model theory, as well as the technical foundations of stability theory.
Co-ordinating Instructor: Anand Pillay
The course can be combined with Topics in Applied Model Theory to form a single graduate course credit (for those to whom this is relevant)
Registered paricipants are to attend the course online via the link provided with registration. Currently only postdoctoral fellows, long term visitors and organizers of the program who have been given FOB access to the building can attend in person.
