Elliott-Yui Distinguished Visitorship
This fellowship provides an opportunity for a period of full-time research either in residence at the Fields Institute or in collaboration with a faculty member at a Fields Institute Principal Sponsoring University.
Faculty/research scientists at our Principal Sponsoring Universities or Principal Sponsoring Institutions are invited to apply on their own behalf (e.g. for a period during a research leave from their own university or institution), or on behalf of a visiting mathematical scientist for the purpose of collaborative research.
Fields Institute EYDV holders will be provided with office space, access to Fields facilities and activities, and reimbursement of expenses (travel, accommodation, and per diem) up to $5,000 for each month of full-time residence. The minimum length of residence is one (1) month and the maximum is three (3) months. Faculty/scientists living in the GTA are ineligible to apply for the Fields Institute EYDV, but may nominate candidates from elsewhere for the visitorship.
Selection of successful candidates will be made by the Directors of the Institute, in consultation with the Scientific Advisory Panel.
There are no restrictions on the nationality of the candidates. The Fields Institute encourages applications from women and under-represented groups.
This visitorship is possible with the support of Professor George A. Elliott and Professor Noriko Yui, Fields Institute Fellows and long-term members of the Institute.
