The Biennial Meeting on Systems and Control Theory has become a major recurring scientific activity for control theory researchers and graduate students in Ontario, Quebec, and nearby academic institutions. Established in 2004, these meetings have proven to be an effective way of promoting collaboration and raising the profile of control theory in Canada. The conference provides a supportive environment for young researchers, including graduate students, postdocs, and early-career professors, to present their work and interact with their peers. This focus on fostering the next generation of researchers has helped create a thriving and inclusive control theory community in Canada.
