Information Theory studies the transmission, processing, and use of information across various contexts (transmission, compression, storage etc). It draws insights from and contributes to a wide array of disciplines in the mathematical sciences. The areas of study of participants will include pure mathematics, theoretical computer science, and the engineering sciences. The spectrum of research topics presented will span foundational theory to algorithmic design and practical implementation.
