Workshop on Singular Spaces in String and M-theory
Description
Many spaces occurring in both mathematics and physics have singularities, but nevertheless admit stratified structures. There is an increasingly vigorous interchange between mathematical physics and the study of analytic and geometric properties of algebraic varieties or more general stratified spaces, that leads to new insights in both directions, which will be explored in this workshop.
