Fields’ Affiliate University network grows with the University of Regina
The Fields Institute is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Regina as the Institute’s latest Affiliate University. Regina joins 11 other universities around the globe to hold this affiliation.
The collaborative agreement encourages greater involvement from the University of Regina in the Institute’s initiatives and programming. Students of the University of Regina are also eligible to participate in Fields Shared Graduate Courses at no cost.
“Our partnership with the University of Regina underscores our commitment to expanding access to our programming throughout Canada,” said Fields Director, Kumar Murty. “This partnership will allow us to draw from each others’ strengths, and I look forward to the work that will be done together.”

This partnership will provide and nurture a broad range of opportunities for the two organizations, strengthen research and innovation support for students and faculty and create a new platform for knowledge exchange.
Through the partnership, the University of Regina will also have access to Fields’ rich pool of talent from all levels: undergraduate and graduate students going into graduate or postdoctoral programs, postdoctoral fellows and emerging scientists seeking faculty positions, as well as established scientists attracted by the Institute and its partners.
