Abstract:
Oncolytic Virotherapy is developed as a new targeted cancer therapy. Viral particles infect cancer cells, leading to two effects. Firstly, cancer cells are killed by the viral infection, and secondly, cancer cells are marked as infected and then killed by the immune response. The challenge is to get as many cancer cells as possible infected before the adaptive immune response comes in and clears out the virus. I will discuss several ideas to overcome this bottleneck in oncolytic virotherapy treatment.
