At the end of June, Prof. Kumar Murty completes his tenure as Fields Institute Director. Prof. Murty has steered the Institute with a deft hand over the past five years, creating a true spirit of collaboration and contributing many big ideas.

On July 1, 2024, Prof. Haskell takes the helm at Fields upon the departure of Prof. Kumar Murty, whose five-year term has come to a close.

TORONTO, ON – June 20, 2024: Created in 2002 to mark the Institute's 10th Anniversary, the designation of Fields Institute Fellow is awarded annually to a select group of people in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
